DON candidates should have stable tenure in their previous jobs and have a solid track record of success in care outcomes, survey results, staff retention and resident satisfaction.
Candidates who have already held multi-site responsibilities will be highly desired!
Travel is a regular part of the job responsibility, and the company will provide a vehicle plus company credit card for travel expenses. Any candidate MUST have a valid Iowa Driver's License for consideration.
Depending on your home base location, there will be overnight stays at times.
Responsibilities will focus on standing in for absent DONs while they go on leave, vacation, FMLA, etc. or while the job is vacant and interviews are underway seeking a permanent replacement. This includes being in the On-Call rotation while you're there.
Strong expertise in State and Federal SNF regulations are essential for success!
Friendly and approachable leadership style will make it easier for teams to adapt to your arrival when you cover their building.

Ideal candidates will bring:
- Previous experience as a clinical leader in post-acute care, long-term care, skilled nursing facility, CCRC settings
- Registered Nurse license in Iowa or Compact State RN license
- Stable tenure in previous SNF Director of Nursing jobs, or in Regional Nurse jobs
- Kind nature and strong interest in seeing seniors well cared for
- Eager enthusiasm for travel as a regular part of the job
