Position Overview
The Director of Nursing is responsible for the overall leadership, direction, and accountability of nursing services across the campus. This role partners closely with the Nursing Home Administrator / Executive Director to ensure exceptional resident care and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all nursing operations and clinical programs
- Hire, develop, coach, and retain nursing staff
- Implement and maintain policies, procedures, and best practices
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Collaborate with physicians, residents, and families
- Participate in resident care planning and quality initiatives
- Manage departmental budgeting and staffing plans
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
- Active RN license in Iowa or Compact RN license
- Prior success as a Director of Nursing in a Skilled Nursing Facility
- Experience with SNF or CCRC campuses strongly preferred
- Demonstrated stable work history with measurable results
- Strong clinical knowledge paired with an approachable leadership style
- Comfortable holding teams accountable while building trust and engagement
