A faith-based skilled nursing and long-term care facility in Greensburg, PA is seeking a permanent Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our clinical team. Our community is part of a premier continuing care retirement community and has recently entered into a new affiliation with the respected Carmelite System.

Position Summary

The Director of Nursing (DON) is responsible for the overall clinical leadership and regulatory compliance of our skilled nursing and long-term care services. The DON will ensure delivery of high-quality resident-centered care while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

We are seeking a leader who brings strong clinical expertise, emotional intelligence, and the ability to hold staff accountable while fostering a positive and supportive work environment.

Qualifications

  • Active and unrestricted RN license in Pennsylvania

  • Minimum of 3 years of Director of Nursing experience within a SNF/LTC setting

  • Advanced knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations

  • Documented success with:

    • Clinical leadership

    • Staff development and retention

    • Annual state survey outcomes

    • Customer service excellence

  • Strong clinical assessment and operational skills

  • Leadership style that balances compassion and accountability
