Nursing Home Administrator (NHA)

We are actively seeking an experienced Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) to lead a for-profit skilled nursing facility in DeKalb, Illinois. This is a leadership role for a proven operator with strong tenure, team-building skills, and the ability to drive quality and operational performance.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee all daily operations of the skilled nursing facility

  • Provide leadership to department heads and clinical teams

  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations

  • Lead the facility through surveys and plan of correction processes

  • Drive census, quality outcomes, and resident satisfaction

  • Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing staff

  • Manage budgets, staffing, and operational metrics

Qualifications

  • Active Illinois Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) license – required

  • Previous experience as a Nursing Home Administrator or Licensed NHA

  • Solid tenure demonstrating leadership stability and success

  • Strong team-building and staff engagement skills

  • Knowledge of CMS regulations, survey readiness, and SNF operations

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational abilities
