Bright and charming not-for-profit Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) + Assisted Living in rural northeastern Colorado near to the Nebraska and Kansas state lines seeks a nurse (RN or LPN) for their Nurse Manager job.

Ideal candidates will have previously worked as Nurse in a Skilled Nursing Facility or similar in their recent job experience. If not, must have had stable prior tenure and be extremely detail oriented and eager to learn.

What does a Nurse Manager do?
As Nurse Manager, you will provide care to residents throughout the SNF and Assisted Living.

You'll ensure support is provided to the SNF DON and Assisted Living Nursing Director including planning, developing, organizing, implementing and evaluating care in the day-to-day.

You'll also remain current in your knowledge of state and federal regulations for Skilled Nursing Facilities and Assisted Living properties, so that both you and those reporting up to you are following correct guidelines.

This job requires strong organization and exceptional communication skills. 

In addition, this Nurse Manager will oversee caregivers in the team and provide some on-call support to leadership. You'll keep accurate records, including resident assessments, clinical forms, and incident reports. You may aid with training, mentoring, and evaluating staff and you may act as a liaison between families, physicians, and staff regarding changes in resident condition.

What you'll bring:
  • Nursing license (RN or LPN) in Colorado or a Compact state
  • Previous experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility or similar
  • Ideally, previous experience working as a clinical manager or supervisor
  • Any additional skills, like MDS or Wound Care, etc. would be a bonus
  • Strong desire to live in a rural environment and provide for the healthcare of seniors
