Director of Facilities – Skilled Nursing

We are hiring a Director of Facilities / Plant Operations to lead maintenance, housekeeping, and laundry services in a Skilled Nursing Facility. This role ensures a safe, compliant, and well-maintained environment that supports quality resident care.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Maintenance, Housekeeping, and Laundry departments

  • Perform and oversee hands-on maintenance (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry)

  • Ensure compliance with Life Safety Code, CMS, OSHA, and state regulations

  • Maintain fire alarm and emergency generator systems and required documentation

  • Manage operating and capital budgets

  • Hire, train, schedule, and evaluate departmental staff

  • Partner with leadership on facility planning and inspections

Qualifications

  • 2+ years facilities or maintenance leadership experience
    (Skilled Nursing preferred, Senior Living, Hospital, Hospitality, or similar)

  • Strong knowledge of building systems and regulatory compliance

  • Experience leading teams and managing multiple projects

  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred)

  • Valid Indiana driver’s license

Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 55 lbs

  • On-call availability for emergencies as needed
