A well-established and growing senior care organization in the Overland Park area is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead its clinical team. Position Summary
The Director of Nursing is responsible for overseeing all clinical operations within the community, ensuring the delivery of high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and the development of a strong, engaged nursing team. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about driving clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership and oversight of nursing operations
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations
  • Recruit, supervise, mentor, and develop nursing staff
  • Oversee clinical systems, documentation, and quality measures
  • Lead survey readiness efforts and maintain regulatory compliance
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure exceptional resident outcomes
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, and clinical workflows
  • Foster a positive and accountable clinical culture

Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas (required)
  • 3+ years of nursing leadership experience (DON, ADON, or similar role)
  • Long-term care or post-acute experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory standards and survey readiness
  • Proven leadership, team-building, and communication skills
