Skilled Nursing Facility in East Texas, between Tyler, TX and Shreveport, LA, seeks Registered Nurse (RN in TX) who is an experienced clinical leader who knows SNF regulations and who can effectively mentor a team and turn around their underperforming location so it shines with success.

Not-for-profit provider of post-acute and long-term care will provide the support you need to whip this SNF into place. With your help they will soon have the team feeling full with their sense of grand accomplishment.
 

Director of Nursing jobs require a candidate who has significant critical care and operations management experience, a strong understanding of skilled nursing standards of care, and federal and state regulations including Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care reimbursement rules. A high level of professionalism, excellent communication skills, and compassionate leadership qualities are must-haves. Candidates must be able to think critically, and adapt quickly to new situations.


Job duties include:
-Directing the nursing program, including implementing new policies and procedures when necessary
-Overseeing and developing nursing & care staff
-Communicating with families, residents, and physicians as needed
-Developing a business plan and budget for the nursing unit
-Participating in creating resident care plans and ensuring they are followed
-Ensuring the nursing unit is compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations

Ideal candidates will bring:
-Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
-Several stable years of DON experience in a skilled nursing setting with a track record of success

-An enjoyment of mentoring and educating teams
-Interest in living in East Texas
