Our client, a skilled nursing community in DeKalb, Illinois, is seeking a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) / Dietary Director to lead dietary operations and support resident health through quality nutrition and food service excellence.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced dietary leader with long-term care experience who values compliance, teamwork, and resident satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the dietary department

  • Plan, direct, and supervise dietary staff and food service functions

  • Ensure meals meet residents’ nutritional needs and preferences

  • Maintain compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations

  • Monitor food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards

  • Collaborate with nursing and leadership teams to support resident care

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)

  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification (required)

  • Associate’s degree or higher in food service management, hospitality, or related field (preferred)

  • Prior dietary supervisory experience in Skilled Nursing, Long-Term Care, Assisted Living, or Memory Care (required)

  • Food safety certification as required by state regulations

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
