As we expand our footprint, we are seeking an exceptional Vice President of Development to lead and execute growth strategies through multi-site management contract acquisitions.

Position Summary
The Vice President of Strategy and Development will play a critical role in building relationships with key stakeholders to identify new growth opportunities, including acquisitions, joint-ventures, and management contracts. This leader will work closely with the C-Suite to develop and maintain strategic relationships with key individuals and groups within the senior living space.  The role heavily focuses on external outreach to uncover and surface new opportunities for growth.  Success includes progressing deals ahead quickly and efficiently with the support of the larger team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead business development efforts to expand the senior living portfolio via new management contracts, acquisitions or joint-ventures.
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with owners, operators, brokers, and investors to uncover acquisition and partnership opportunities.
  • Represent the company with integrity at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
  • Track industry trends to identify new market opportunities and stay ahead of the competition.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience within the industry.
  • Strong understanding of management contracts, acquisitions, business development, and relationship management.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, sales, organizational and communication skills.
  • Strong relationships with industry leaders (owners, REITs, investors, private equity firms, and brokers).
  • Ability to identify management contract opportunities both on-market and off-market.
  • Talented in presenting Continental Senior Communities value proposition.
  • A results-oriented leader with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
