The Vice President of Operations will play a key role in translating organizational strategy into action, strengthening operational performance, developing leaders, and ensuring that GentleBrook continues to deliver exceptional services to the people and families it serves.

This is an opportunity for an accomplished executive to join an organization where leadership has a direct and meaningful impact on individuals, families, employees, and the community.

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership across GentleBrook's diverse programs and services.
  • Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute organizational strategy and priorities.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor operational leaders while building a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance.

The Ideal Leader

This opportunity is ideally suited for an executive who is energized by building, improving, developing people, and making a difference.

The successful candidate will be equally comfortable setting strategy and driving execution, with the leadership presence to bring people together around a common vision.

GentleBrook is looking for a leader who isn't satisfied with maintaining the status quo—someone who sees opportunities to improve, knows how to turn strategy into action, and understands that sustainable organizational performance begins with engaged, capable leaders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, human services, organizational leadership, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare, senior living, intellectual and developmental disability services, behavioral health, human services, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of senior management or multi-site operational leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing multiple programs, facilities, service lines, or operational functions.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory, quality, staffing, and financial requirements within healthcare or human services.
  • Proven ability to develop leaders, build high-performing teams, and lead organizational change.
  • Strong strategic, financial, communication, and relationship-building skills.
