As a Travel Executive Director, you will serve as a critical resource across our portfolio, stepping into communities during leadership transitions, supporting Executive Director vacancies, mentoring leadership teams, and ensuring continuity of exceptional resident care and service.

Position Overview
The Travel Executive Director serves as an interim and support leader for communities experiencing Executive Director vacancies, leadership transitions, occupancy challenges, or operational improvement initiatives. This individual will work closely with corporate leadership and community teams to maintain operational excellence, resident satisfaction, regulatory compliance, and financial performance.
The ideal candidate is highly adaptable, hands-on, solutions-oriented, and comfortable leading in a variety of community settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as Interim Executive Director when leadership vacancies arise
- Provide oversight of Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care operations
- Lead, mentor, and support department heads and community leadership teams
- Drive occupancy growth, resident satisfaction, and operational performance
- Ensure compliance with state regulations, company policies, and quality standards
- Manage budgets, financial performance, and operational efficiencies
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and development of Executive Directors and key leaders
- Assist with operational assessments, community transitions, and special projects
- Build positive cultures focused on accountability, teamwork, compassion, and service excellence
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Executive Director experience in senior living
- Proven success leading Assisted Living, Memory Care, and/or Independent Living communities
- Strong financial, operational, and leadership skills
- Demonstrated history of improving census, team engagement, and overall community performance
- Experience navigating leadership transitions and operational challenges
- Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building abilities
- Must be based in or willing to relocate to the Columbus, Ohio area
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively (75%+ overnight travel required)
- Multi-site or regional leadership experience preferred
