Bright and charming not-for-profit Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) in rural northeastern Colorado near to the Nebraska and Kansas state lines seeks a nurse (RN or LPN) for their Staff Development Coordinator job.


Ideal candidates will have previously worked as Staff Development Coordinator in their recent job experience. If not, must have had stable prior tenure in a Skilled Nursing Facility and be extremely detail oriented and eager to learn a new skill.

What does a Staff Development Coordinator do?
As Staff Development Coordinator, you will provide direct training to staff throughout the SNF. You'll ensure all receive required training to maintain their certifications and licenses. You'll educate the staff on company policies and procedures. Additionally you'll train teams on State and Federal Regulations for Skilled Nursing Facilities so they'll be conscientious of the methods required when administering care to senior residents.  

This job requires strong organization and exceptional communication skills. You will develop training materials and must stay current on any regulatory changes. 

In addition, this SDC nurse will oversee Infection Prevention measures taken throughout the community. Any previous education or certification received in IP techniques will be a plus for applicants.

What you'll bring:
  • Nursing license (RN or LPN) in Colorado or a Compact state
  • Previous experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility
  • Ideally, previous experience working as a Staff Development Coordinator or Infection Preventionist
  • Any additional skills, like MDS or Wound Care, etc. would be a bonus
  • Strong desire to live in a rural environment and provide for the healthcare of seniors
