LeaderStat is seeking a dedicated MDS Coordinator (RN) for a skilled nursing / long-term care community in the Olathe, KS area. About the Role
This position plays a key role in ensuring accurate clinical reimbursement, comprehensive care planning, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate brings experience with MDS, case mix, and interdisciplinary coordination within a nursing home setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and complete MDS assessments in accordance with federal and state regulations
- Ensure accuracy of clinical documentation to support reimbursement and quality measures
- Lead and participate in care plan development and interdisciplinary team meetings
- Monitor case mix index (CMI) and support clinical outcomes
- Collaborate with nursing staff and leadership to ensure compliance and survey readiness
What We’re Looking For
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Experience as an MDS Coordinator in LTC/SNF setting
- Strong knowledge of MDS, care planning, and clinical reimbursement
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and initiative
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
