Join a fast-paced Acute Care team providing high-quality cardiac telemetry nursing care for adult patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring. This role partners closely with providers and interdisciplinary teams to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, with a strong focus on patient safety, evidence-based practice, and compassionate communication.

Location & Pay

  • Location: Independence, Missouri, United States
  • Hourly Pay: USD $32.00 - $43.00 (based on years of experience)
  • Shift Differentials: $3.00/Nights & $2.00/Weekends
  • Sign-On Bonus: $12,000 sign-on with a 2-year commitment

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive RN care for cardiac telemetry patients, including admission, ongoing assessment, and discharge education.
  • Interpret telemetry rhythms, recognize clinical deterioration, and initiate appropriate interventions and escalation.
  • Administer medications and IV therapies safely; monitor for effects, side effects, and contraindications.
  • Coordinate care with physicians, cardiology services, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and case management.
  • Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely in the medical record.
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, procedures, medications, and post-discharge care plans.
  • Participate in unit-based quality initiatives, safety rounds, and performance improvement activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of Acute Care RN experience.
  • Graduation from a school of nursing with a Diploma, ADN, or BSN.
  • Current RN license from the Missouri State Board of Nursing or a Multistate RN license from a participating compact state (required).
  • BLS certification required upon hire.
  • ACLS certification required within 1 year of hire date.
