Position Summary
Responsible for the operational and clinical leadership of Cardiac Services within an acute care setting. This role ensures safe, high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, effective staffing, and collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams across cardiology-related service lines.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day leadership for cardiac service areas, supporting excellent patient outcomes and patient experience.
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, competency validation, onboarding, and performance management.
- Promote evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives; monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, accreditation standards, and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with cardiologists, cath lab/diagnostic teams, and nursing leadership to coordinate care and optimize throughput.
- Manage departmental operations, including budgeting support, supply/equipment oversight, and resource utilization.
- Support staff education, professional development, and a culture of accountability and teamwork.
- Participate in committees, audits, and performance improvement activities as assigned by the CNO.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Current Ohio RN license or compact (multistate) RN license in good standing required.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- 3-5 years of relevant clinical experience required (cardiac/telemetry, critical care, procedural, or related acute care experience).
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and drive quality and safety outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Leadership experience in cardiology, cath lab, or diagnostic services preferred.
- Prior experience with accreditation readiness, performance improvement, and operational workflow optimization.

This is an on-site, 1st shift leadership role in an acute care environment. May require flexibility to meet operational needs, support staff, and respond to time-sensitive clinical or departmental priorities.
