Our client, a skilled nursing and rehabilitation community in Asbury, Iowa, is seeking a dedicated Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) | RN to join their leadership team. This is an excellent opportunity for an RN with nursing leadership experience to drive quality care, mentor staff, and help maintain regulatory compliance in a supportive, resident-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support administration and management of Nursing Services according to physician orders and resident needs

  • Partner with the Director of Nursing (DON) to oversee 24-hour nursing operations

  • Direct the nursing team to ensure quality care in compliance with federal, state, and organizational regulations

  • Assume responsibility for clinical operations in the absence of the DON

  • Mentor, educate, and provide guidance to nursing staff

  • Support interdisciplinary care planning and quality initiatives


Qualifications / Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school preferred

  • Prior experience in LTC, SNF, AL, or MC settings preferred

  • Minimum of two years in a nurse supervisory role preferred

  • Strong knowledge of clinical operations, nursing leadership, and regulatory compliance

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Energetic, flexible, and professional demeanor

  • Passion for working with seniors and improving quality of care
