Salary: USD $70,512 - $94,120 annually
Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 3x12-hour nights
Position Summary
Provide safe, high-quality bedside nursing care for adult patients across Med Surg, Telemetry, and Progressive Care in a small, rural Critical Access Hospital. This role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent assessment skills, and the ability to work independently in a low-resource, fast-changing environment. Candidates must be able to hit the ground running and manage a broad scope of patient needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for acutely ill patients, including telemetry monitoring and progressive care needs.
- Interpret cardiac rhythms, respond to clinical deterioration, and initiate appropriate interventions per policy and provider orders.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and blood products; monitor for effectiveness and adverse reactions.
- Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams, communicate changes in condition promptly, and ensure thorough handoffs.
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely in the medical record.
- Provide patient and family education, discharge teaching, and support for care transitions.
- Maintain infection prevention, patient safety, and regulatory compliance standards.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years ICU, PCU, or Med/Surg experience
- 2+ years Emergency Department (ED) experience
- Telemetry experience
- Ability to work independently and adapt to a small-unit environment (must be able to hit the ground running).
Licensure & Certifications
- Active RN license in New Hampshire
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA)
- PALS (AHA)
Preferred
- Previous rural or Critical Access Hospital experience.
- Strong telemetry interpretation skills and comfort managing changing acuity with limited on-site resources.
