Regional Director of Sales & Marketing – Senior Living

Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic Regional Director of Sales & Marketing to lead sales efforts across our senior living communities within an assigned region. This role is responsible for driving occupancy growth, mentoring sales teams, and implementing strategies that ensure long-term success. The position requires extensive regional travel (up to 90%) to provide hands-on support and maintain strong connections with community teams. The ideal candidate is an experienced sales leader with a proven track record in the senior living industry and a passion for serving seniors and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead, coach, and mentor Community Relations Directors (CRDs) to achieve sales goals.
  2. Support onboarding and training of new CRDs within the region.
  3. Provide hands-on coaching through tour observations, sales calls, and outreach activities.
  4. Partner with communities to create and execute strategic sales and marketing plans.
  5. Build and maintain strong relationships with referral sources, prospective residents, and families.
  6. Monitor key sales metrics (lead generation, conversion rates, closing ratios) and implement performance improvements.
  7. Stay current on market trends, competitor activity, and senior living industry developments.
  8. Collaborate with leadership on annual sales and marketing budgets.
  9. Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  10. Conduct performance evaluations, provide recognition, and ensure training compliance.
  11. Represent the organization at marketing events and community activities.
  12. Travel regionally up to 90% to support communities and sales initiatives.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field (preferred).
  2. Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in senior living, with at least 2 years in a multi-site leadership role.
  3. Ability to travel up to 90%.
  4. Strong leadership and coaching abilities with proven success in team development.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Knowledge of industry regulations, market dynamics, and competitor landscape.
  7. Proficiency with CRM systems and sales tracking tools.
  8. Highly organized, results-driven, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
