Pay: USD $35.77–$49.18 hourly, based on years of experience
Sign-On Bonus: $10,000
Shift Differential: +$3/hr for weekend shifts (Saturday/Sunday)
Relocation Assistance: Available on a case-by-case basis
Schedule
- Day shift, 5 days/week, 8-hour shifts
- Start time between 7:00 AM and 10:00 AM
- Rotating weekends: typically begins at 4 weekend shifts/month, then may decrease to 3 and then 2 weekend shifts/month based on department needs
- If scheduled on a weekend, days off will be provided during the week to maintain the workweek schedule
Role Summary
The Physical Therapist provides high-quality, patient-centered care by managing the complete therapeutic process for an assigned patient group in coordination with the physician and interdisciplinary care team. This role completes evaluations, develops and implements individualized plans of care, and supports patients across the continuum of care with a focus on goal achievement, patient engagement, and a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform evaluations and deliver treatment interventions within legal scope of practice and professional ethics.
- Assess functional, rehabilitative, and therapeutic status and contribute to the overall plan of care.
- Provide skilled, purposeful therapy techniques aligned with physician orders to improve condition and function.
- Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety, therapeutic equipment, and carryover plans outside of sessions.
- Prioritize caseload, coordinate daily assignments, and ensure effective handoffs and continuity of care.
- Document assessments, progress, and outcomes per departmental standards and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Physical Therapist (Florida) or ability to obtain prior to start.
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy (or higher, as applicable to licensure).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; must be obtained within 30 days of start if not current.
- Open to all experience levels, including new graduates.
- Ability to safely assist and mobilize patients and perform essential job functions in an acute care environment.
