Overview
Seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive outpatient urologic care in a high-volume clinic setting. This role offers flexible scheduling with a 4-day or 5-day workweek, no call responsibilities, access to advanced technology, and opportunities for professional growth within a nationally recognized nonprofit health system.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive outpatient urology care for adult patients, including new and established visits.
- Independently manage and coordinate patient care while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
- See approximately 15–20 patients per clinic day.
- Perform detailed histories and physicals, develop differential diagnoses, and create evidence-based treatment plans.
- Complete pre-operative evaluations and post-operative follow-up care.
- Order, review, and interpret diagnostic tests, imaging, and laboratory results; initiate appropriate next steps.
- Provide patient and family education on diagnoses, procedures, medications, and recovery expectations.
- Conduct occasional inpatient rounding as needed (no call schedule).
- Document all encounters in Cerner / Oracle Health EMR and utilize AI-assisted documentation tools.
- Maintain compliance with clinical, safety, and regulatory standards; participate in continuous education and quality improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in the State of Ohio (or ability to obtain prior to start).
- National NP certification (AANP or ANCC) in an appropriate population focus.
- Minimum of 2 years of advanced practice experience in urology or gynecology (new graduates not accepted).
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic reasoning, and care coordination skills in an outpatient setting.
- Ability to work full time; not accepting locums providers.
- Proficiency with EMR documentation and comfort using technology-enabled workflows.
- Excellent communication, patient education, and collaborative team skills.
- DEA registration and prescriptive authority (or ability to obtain).
- Must be eligible to work in the United States; visa candidates not accepted.
