Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Nurse Manager – Cardiac Cath Lab for a unique Temp-to-Perm opportunity at a nationally recognized, high-volume cardiovascular program in New Jersey.
This leadership role is ideal for an experienced cardiac catheterization or electrophysiology leader who has worked in a large academic medical center or teaching hospital and understands the operational demands of complex cardiovascular services.
The successful candidate will provide operational and clinical leadership across Cardiac Cath and Electrophysiology services while supporting continued growth in structural heart, cardiogenic shock, and advanced cardiovascular procedures.

Compensation
Estimated weekly package: $4,076

Key Responsibilities
-
Direct and oversee daily operations of the Cardiac Catheterization and Electrophysiology Labs.

Ensure efficient workflow, patient throughput, staffing, and utilization of procedural rooms.

Provide clinical and operational leadership for high-acuity cardiovascular services.

Lead recruitment, onboarding, orientation, training, coaching, and performance management of Cath Lab and EP staff.

Collaborate closely with cardiologists, electrophysiologists, nursing leadership, anesthesia, procedural teams, and hospital administration.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, regulatory, accreditation, and institutional standards.

Develop and manage operating and capital budgets while identifying opportunities for cost containment and resource optimization.

Monitor quality metrics, clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, safety indicators, and staff engagement.

Use data, benchmarking, and evidence-based practices to drive continuous improvement.

Support advanced cardiovascular procedures and emerging technologies.

Provide leadership for structural heart and regional cardiogenic shock programs.

Participate in strategic planning and cardiovascular service-line growth initiatives.

Support the expansion and integration of additional procedural rooms as the program grows.

Required Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.

BLS certification required.

Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.

Minimum 5 years of management/leadership experience.

Minimum 5 years of experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab and/or Electrophysiology environment.

At least 2 years of progressive leadership experience within a cardiovascular procedural setting.

Experience managing high-volume cardiac catheterization operations, preferably involving 4–5 or more procedure rooms.

Experience working within a complex academic medical center, teaching hospital, or tertiary/quaternary care environment.

Strong experience with critical care, high-risk cardiovascular patients, or other high-acuity clinical environments.

Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams in a complex healthcare environment.
Preferred Experience
-
Leadership experience within a large Cardiac Cath Lab program.

Experience with Structural Heart programs and advanced interventional cardiology.

Experience supporting or leading a cardiogenic shock program.

Experience overseeing both Cath Lab and Electrophysiology (EP) operations.

Experience with large-scale cardiovascular program expansion.

Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related discipline.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a seasoned cardiovascular nurse leader who has successfully managed large-volume Cath Lab operations and is comfortable leading teams in a complex academic or tertiary-care environment.
Candidates should be comfortable partnering with physicians and executive leadership, managing significant operational complexity, developing staff, monitoring quality outcomes, and supporting the growth of advanced cardiovascular services.
