Location: Gainesville, FL
Schedule: Days with rotating weekends
Salary: $100,000–$120,000 annually
We are seeking an experienced Manager of Emergency Services to lead clinical and operational functions within a busy, high-acuity Emergency Department.
The ED includes 32 main beds plus 11 Care Path beds and sees approximately 130 patients per day. The Manager will oversee approximately 55 FTEs, including four Clinical Nurse Coordinators.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily clinical and operational activities for the Emergency Department
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, patient flow, and throughput
- Drive quality, patient safety, and regulatory compliance
- Coach, develop, and retain nursing staff
- Partner with physicians and hospital leadership to improve patient outcomes
- Support employee engagement, performance, and service excellence
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and department performance
Qualifications
- Current Florida RN or Compact RN license
- 3–5+ years of recent acute-care ED experience
- 2–3+ years of recent ED leadership preferred
- Experience as an ED Manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, Supervisor, Clinical Coordinator, or strong Charge Nurse
- BLS required
- PALS or ENPC required
- BSN, ACLS, and TNCC preferred
