Position Summary

Performs a variety of mammography examinations and related procedures. Applies mammography principles, theories, and techniques to produce accurate, high-quality images while supporting patient comfort, safety, and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform screening and diagnostic mammography exams in accordance with departmental protocols and applicable regulations.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, provide clear instructions, and maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
  • Ensure proper equipment operation, quality control, and documentation to support reliable imaging results.
  • Collaborate effectively with clinical teams and communicate professionally with patients and the public.
  • Maintain consistent, punctual attendance and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Utilize a personal computer and common software programs to support workflow, scheduling, and documentation.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an Accredited Radiology Technology program [REQUIRED]
  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiography and Mammography modalities [REQUIRED]
  • Current Oregon license [REQUIRED]
  • American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) [REQUIRED]
  • One year previous experience in Mammography [REQUIRED]

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree [HIGHLY PREFERRED]
  • Experience in stereotactic biopsy [PREFERRED]
  • Image Wisely pledge certificate (or obtain within 30 days of hire and renew annually by January 30) [PREFERRED]
  • Image Gently pledge certificate (or obtain within 30 days of hire and renew annually by January 30) [PREFERRED]
