Cherry Blossom Senior Living is seeking an experienced Maintenance Director to oversee the daily operations of our building maintenance department. What You'll Do
As the Maintenance Director, you'll lead all aspects of facility maintenance, preventative care, and life safety while ensuring the community remains clean, secure, and operating efficiently.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Direct all building maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance programs.
- Oversee HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, painting, carpentry, and general building systems.
- Conduct routine inspections of resident apartments, common areas, equipment, and grounds to identify maintenance needs.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including life safety and emergency preparedness requirements.
- Develop and manage preventative maintenance schedules to maximize equipment performance and minimize downtime.
- Coordinate outside vendors and contractors while ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations.
- Oversee apartment turnovers, renovations, and move-in readiness.
- Manage departmental budgets, inventory, purchasing, and capital improvement projects.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspections, and regulatory documentation.
- Lead, coach, and develop maintenance team members while fostering a culture of accountability and exceptional customer service.
- Partner with other department leaders to provide an outstanding experience for residents, families, and guests.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience leading maintenance operations in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, multifamily housing, or commercial facilities.
- Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, and mechanical systems.
- Experience managing preventative maintenance programs and vendor relationships.
- Understanding of life safety systems, fire codes, OSHA standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and leadership skills.
- Computer proficiency with maintenance tracking systems is preferred.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
