Interim Leader – Supply Chain Director

Position: Interim Supply Chain Director
Assignment: Interim / Contract
Gross Weekly Pay: $3,100 (including $1,267 weekly travel stipend)

Position Summary

The Interim Supply Chain Director provides strategic and operational leadership for hospital supply chain activities, ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and reliable support of patient care operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily supply chain operations, including inventory, procurement, purchasing, and distribution.

  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, product availability, and service levels.

  • Monitor supply expenses and implement cost-containment initiatives.

  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels and minimize shortages and excess inventory.

  • Develop and enforce supply chain policies, procedures, and performance standards.

  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

  • Collaborate with hospital leadership, clinical departments, finance, and vendors.

  • Lead, coach, and support supply chain staff.

  • Monitor key performance metrics and address operational issues.

  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and supply chain standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Healthcare/hospital supply chain leadership experience required.

  • Strong experience in inventory management, procurement, vendor management, and cost control.

  • Proven leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to quickly assess operations and provide effective interim leadership.

Compensation

$3,100 gross per week, including a $791 weekly housing stipend and $476 weekly meal stipend.
