Overview
Responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing cardiac and vascular invasive and interventional programs, including Electrophysiology (EP). Provides operational leadership, fiscal oversight, and performance improvement while ensuring compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Serves as an integral member of the management team and interfaces effectively with multidisciplinary departments to support safe, efficient patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee Invasive/Interventional Cardiac and Vascular services and the EP program, including day-to-day clinical operations management.
- Manage personnel processes (staffing, scheduling, coaching, performance management, and engagement) and support a culture of teamwork and accountability.
- Promote physician collaboration across units; work with physicians and staff to resolve conflict effectively.
- Lead fiscal management, budgeting support, productivity oversight, and resource utilization.
- Drive performance improvement initiatives, quality metrics, and compliance with relevant policies/procedures and regulations.
- Oversee equipment and inventory management; perform technology assessment/implementation and make recommendations for technology needs.
- Assist with development and implementation of EMR-related workflows as appropriate.
- Maintain focus on continuous education: assess clinical practice, identify gaps, plan education, and support competency evaluation.
- Support regulatory and department-specific accreditation requirements (e.g., AACPVR and Intersocietal Commission accreditations).
- Provide project management for operational and clinical initiatives; make timely decisions and lead change management processes.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience.
- Management and clinical experience in an Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab (required).
- Clinical experience with Electrophysiology (preferred).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds, training, and experience.
- Ability to make timely decisions, manage change, and communicate information clearly across departments.
