Overview

Provide direct, high-acuity nursing care to critically ill adult patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). This role focuses on rapid assessment, hemodynamic monitoring, complex medication management, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, evidence-based care.

Compensation

  • Hourly Salary Range: $32.00–$48.00 USD
  • Salary Range Details: Min: $32.00/hr  |  Mid: $40.00/hr (8 years of experience)  |  Max: $48.00/hr (17+ years of experience)
  • Shift Differentials: $4.25/hr nights; $3.00/hr weekends

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care for ICU populations.
  • Manage ventilators, titratable drips, invasive lines, and continuous monitoring; recognize and respond to clinical deterioration.
  • Administer medications and blood products per policy; maintain accurate, timely documentation.
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and other disciplines to coordinate care and support clinical decision-making.
  • Educate patients and families, provide emotional support, and participate in care planning and discharge/transfer readiness.
  • Maintain infection prevention, safety, and quality standards; participate in unit-based initiatives and competency requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of Acute Care RN experience (within the last 3 years); prefers higher-acuity experience than Med/Surg, but strong Med/Surg candidates will be considered.
  • Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required. Compact license holders must obtain a Florida license within 60 days of relocation.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS, AHA) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or CCRN (Adult) must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
