Position Summary                                           

The HR Generalist/Benefits Coordinator will support a hybrid-based local team and nationwide staffing workforce, with a strong emphasis on benefits administration, compliance, and employee relations. This is a hands-on, generalist role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced company.
 

Key Responsibilities

Benefits Administration
  • Administer health, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement (401k) plans
  • Manage annual open enrollment process
  • Serve as primary point of contact for employee benefits questions and claims resolution
  • Ensure compliance with ACA, COBRA, ERISA, and HIPAA requirements
  • Reconcile monthly benefits invoices and coordinate with payroll/finance
HR Generalist Duties
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding for corporate staff
  • Maintain employee records
  • Advise on employee relations issues, performance management, and progressive discipline
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state (multi-state), and local employment laws given the nationwide workforce
  • Support workers' compensation and unemployment claims processes
  • Track and manage required healthcare credentialing/licensure documentation in coordination with compliance team
  • Assist with FMLA, ADA, and leave-of-absence administration
HR Operations & Culture
  • Support engagement and retention initiatives across a distributed workforce
  • Help maintain compliance with Joint Commission/staffing agency accreditation standards, as applicable
  • Prepare HR reports and metrics for leadership
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required
  • 2+ years of HR generalist experience, including hands-on benefits administration
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Strong working knowledge of employment law, particularly multi-state compliance
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • High degree of discretion with confidential information
  • Proficiency with HRIS/payroll systems and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace
Preferred
  • PHR (Professional in Human Resources) certification preferred
  • Prior experience in healthcare or healthcare staffing industry strongly preferred
  • Experience supporting a remote/nationwide or multi-state workforce
