Schedule: Days 3x12-hour (07:00–19:00) / Night 3x12-hour (19:00-07:00). Weekends required (days and/or nights may vary with weekdays). No on-call. No block scheduling. 48 hours not approved.
Role Summary
Seeking a Travel Registered Nurse to serve as House Supervisor, providing clinical leadership, patient flow coordination, and operational oversight across hospital units. This role floats between units based on operational need and supports safe, efficient care delivery in a Critical Access/Level III Trauma Center environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide shift-wide clinical and administrative supervision, supporting nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams.
- Coordinate bed management, admissions, transfers, and discharges; escalate barriers to patient throughput.
- Respond to emergent clinical situations, rapid deterioration, and high-acuity events; assist with stabilization and resource allocation.
- Support ED/ICU operations as needed, including triage support, critical care oversight, and staffing prioritization.
- Ensure compliance with policies, regulatory standards, and patient safety practices; complete incident documentation as required.
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and communicate handoff information effectively.
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted RN license (Oregon or compact license eligible to practice in Oregon).
- Recent Emergency Department (ED) or Intensive Care Unit (ICU) RN experience (required).
- BLS and ACLS certifications (required).
- PALS certification (highly preferred)
- Ability to float between units and, as needed, to other facilities based on skill set and staffing demands.
- Must have a personal vehicle for this assignment.
- Strong leadership, conflict resolution, and prioritization skills; ability to work independently and supervise across multiple departments.
