Position Overview
The Director of Dining / Executive Chef is responsible for the overall leadership and execution of culinary services, including food quality, team management, budgeting, and resident satisfaction.
This is a hands-on leadership role—you’ll be actively involved in the kitchen, mentoring staff, and ensuring excellence at every level.
Key Responsibilities

Lead daily culinary operations, ensuring high-quality meal preparation and presentation

Manage food cost, labor, and departmental budget performance

Maintain strict compliance with food safety, sanitation, and temperature logs

Oversee menu execution and introduce new recipes and techniques

Train, mentor, and develop kitchen staff

Ensure consistent resident satisfaction through engagement and feedback

Collaborate with leadership on overall community goals

Maintain proper staffing levels and oversee scheduling
Qualifications
-
3–5+ years of culinary experience required

5+ years of leadership/management experience preferred

Culinary degree preferred but not required
-
Experience in senior living or healthcare is a plus (not required)

Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen operations

Proven leadership skills with a hands-on, team-oriented approach
