A charming rural Skilled Nursing Facility in Eastern Oregon—beautifully located between the Malheur and Umatilla National Forests—is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead their care team.

This hospital-affiliated SNF provides lower acuity skilled and long-term care services in a serene, small-town setting. It’s the perfect opportunity for an ambitious RN with leadership experience to take the next step and make a meaningful impact in post-acute care.

The Opportunity

As the Director of Nursing, you’ll report directly to the Nursing Home Administrator and guide all aspects of nursing operations, including:

  • Clinical Leadership: Ensure high-quality, compliant care while fostering a culture of excellence.

  • Team Management: Hire, develop, and inspire the nursing team to deliver their best.

  • Resident & Family Engagement: Build strong, compassionate relationships with those you serve.

  • Operations & Budget Oversight: Manage staffing, resources, and planning with a strategic lens.

  • Regulatory Success: Lead the facility to strong outcomes during surveys and audits.

Who We're Looking For

  • Active RN license in Oregon (RN-OR)

  • At least 6 months of leadership experience in a SNF or similar post-acute setting

  • Knowledge of SNF compliance regulations (state, federal, Medicare/Medicaid)

  • Track record of leadership success (survey outcomes, census growth, staff retention)

  • Strong communication, mentorship, and team-building skills

  • Passion for senior care and quality outcomes
