As our Director of Community Services, you’ll guide and grow the programs that help Hawai‘i’s seniors thrive at home — Adult Day Care, Home Care, and Adult Residential Care Home (ARCH) services.

This is a role for someone who sees community not as a department, but as a mission. Someone who believes kupuna deserve to age with joy, connection, and cultural pride. Someone who wants to build programs that make a real difference in real lives.

Pay Range

$85,000 – $100,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications


What You’ll Lead

  • Provide visionary leadership for Adult Day Care, Home Care, and ARCH programs
  • Develop innovative, culturally grounded services that uplift our kupuna
  • Build strong partnerships with hospitals, community groups, and referral sources
  • Collaborate with staff, families, and stakeholders to ensure exceptional care
  • Manage budgets and resources with wisdom and transparency
  • Evaluate program outcomes and champion continuous improvement
  • Represent Palolo Chinese Home at community events and outreach efforts
  • Seek funding opportunities and craft grant proposals to support new initiatives
  • Stay ahead of trends and best practices in community-based senior care

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, nursing, social work, public administration, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare or community-based services
  • A leadership style rooted in empathy, clarity, and collaboration
  • Strong communication skills and a love for building relationships
  • Knowledge of local resources and support networks
  • Experience with budgets and grant writing
  • Background in adult day care, home care, residential care, or long-term care (preferred, not required)
