Confidential Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

LeaderStat is in search of an experienced Chief Executive Officer for a Long Term Acute Care hospital (LTAC) in Missouri.  This search is confidential and the location would be disclosed during an interview. The Chief Executive Officer is the direct representative of the Board of Managers in the management of the hospital. The Chief Executive Officer is given the necessary authority and is responsible for the operation and administration of the hospital and all its departments, subject to the powers of the Board of Managers of the facility for their location.

Additional Responsibilities include:
  • Leads and manages the strategic and daily operations of the hospital according to the policies and practices
  • Manages the financial well-being of the hospital operations, including preparing annual budget; Has fiscal accountability for all hospital operations, including purchasing, workforce, insurance, compliance, and legal aspects of operations.
  • Fosters positive relationships with referring entities to sustain and improve admission levels
  • Approves all human resource decisions to create a team of competent employees that are engaged, positive, and focused on delivering the best patient care 
  • Reviews and takes appropriate corrective action upon reports and recommendations of regulatory and inspection agencies to assure that the hospital is in conformity with their requirements.
  •  Maintains the physical properties of the hospital in sound, safe and sanitary condition and in good repair and operating condition, and maintains adequate insurance policies for protecting all assets of the hospital,
  • Supervises the business affairs of the hospital to ensure that funds are collected and expended to the best possible advantage.
  •  Serves as the liaison and channel of communication between the Board of Directors and any of its committees and the Medical Staff, and assists the Medical Staff with its organization and medico-administrative problems and responsibilities.
  • Prepares plans for the achievement of the hospital’s specific objectives and periodically reviews and evaluates that plan.
  •  Represents the hospital in its relationships with other health care agencies and with the community.
  • Maintains professional demeanor and overall performance levels that are in keeping with the mission and philosophy of the hospital's mission of providing exceptional patient care and satisfaction.
  •  Other detail duties to support optimal hospital operations


QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Healthcare or related field required, Masters preferred
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri or compact state
  • Minimum of five (5) years of leadership experience in an LTAC facility
  • Strong understanding of Admissions process and Business Development strategies with proven track record of success in building census
  • Previous LTAC experience required

Pay Package Details
$155k - $170k/year
