Overview

Provide high-quality radiographic and computed tomography imaging services for acute care patients. This role supports timely diagnosis and treatment by producing diagnostic images, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining compliance with departmental, state, and federal standards. Candidates with strong radiography skills are encouraged to apply; training for the CT portion is available for the right candidate.

Compensation

Hourly Range (based on years of experience): USD $27.13–$39.70

  • Base (0–2 years): $27.13–$27.29
  • Mid (3–10 years): $27.72–$32.50
  • Cap (11–20 years): $33.08–$39.70

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic radiography and CT examinations per provider orders and established protocols.
  • Verify patient identification, obtain relevant history, and explain procedures to ensure patient understanding and comfort.
  • Apply radiation safety principles (ALARA), proper shielding, and dose optimization; document dose as required.
  • Prepare and position patients; operate imaging equipment to obtain high-quality images; recognize and correct image quality issues.
  • Maintain a safe environment, including infection prevention practices and equipment readiness/quality control.
  • Accurately document procedures and communicate urgent or unexpected findings to the appropriate clinical staff per policy.
  • Participate in on-going quality improvement, compliance, and continuing education activities.

Requirements

  • ARRT Registration (required): American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, currently registered in Radiography and CT (required).
  • State Licensure (required): New Hampshire License of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy.
  • BCLS (required): Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification [DOCUMENT].
  • Experience: 2 years of experience [HIGHLY PREFERRED].
  • Continuing Education: Current compliance with continuing education credit requirements [HIGHLY PREFERRED].
  • Education: Bachelor of Science degree preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to lift/transfer patients and stand for extended periods; strong attention to detail and patient-centered communication skills.
