Highgrove at Tates Creek, a premier Independent, Assisted Living and Memory Care community, is seeking an energetic, creative, and compassionate Community Engagement Director to lead our resident life enrichment program. If you love planning events, building relationships, and creating experiences that bring joy to older adults, we'd love to meet you.

In this leadership role, you'll oversee all resident programming while inspiring your team to create engaging activities that promote wellness, connection, purpose, and fun.

What You'll Do

As our Community Engagement Director, you will:

  • Plan and lead a vibrant calendar of daily activities, special events, educational programs, fitness classes, outings, and holiday celebrations
  • Create engaging opportunities that support residents' physical, social, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual well-being
  • Get to know residents personally to develop programs based on their interests, hobbies, and life experiences
  • Coordinate community outings and entertainment
  • Recruit, train, and manage volunteers and community partners
  • Build relationships with local schools, businesses, churches, and organizations to enhance programming
  • Supervise and coach the Engagement team while fostering a positive, energetic culture
  • Manage the department budget, supplies, and activity calendar
  • Collaborate with leadership and other departments to create an exceptional resident experience
  • Participate in community events, resident meetings, and Manager on Duty responsibilities

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience in activities, life enrichment, recreation, event planning, or community engagement
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Passion for serving older adults and creating meaningful experiences
  • Outstanding organizational, communication, and event planning skills
  • Creative, enthusiastic, and self-motivated personality
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and learning new software
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
