Position Overview
The Assistant Director of Nursing partners closely with the Director of Nursing to support daily clinical operations and nursing leadership across the campus. This role shares responsibility for resident care quality, staff development, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities

Support the DON in overseeing nursing operations and clinical programs

Assist with hiring, onboarding, coaching, and development of nursing staff

Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and care teams
-
Help execute staffing plans, budgets, and operational goals
-
Participate in resident care planning and quality initiatives
-
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
What We’re Looking For
-
Active RN license in Iowa or Compact RN license
-
Prior experience as an ADON, RN Supervisor, or Nurse Manager in a Skilled Nursing setting

Experience with SNF/AL or full CCRC campuses strongly preferred

Demonstrated stable work history with measurable contributions

Strong clinical expertise with an approachable, accountable leadership style

Detail-oriented, organized, and confident in supporting team performance

Interest in relocating to Southeast Iowa and becoming part of the local community
